The historic Everett C. Benton Library is located at the corner of Oakley and Old Middlesex Roads in Belmont, Massachusetts.

Final Fenway Fiction - A Reading at the Benton, Saturday, May 19, 2 pm

Authors Adam Pachter and Len Abram will read from the recently released third volume in the Fenway Fiction series. This book chronicles the Boston Red Sox and historic Fenway Park. Put on your Red Sox hat and come hear excerpts from stories about Babe Ruth, Big Papi, the World Series, the September swoons and more.

The historic Benton Library is open one Saturday a month for reading, browsing, borrowing and computer use.

Friday Night at the Benton, Friday, May 4, 6 - 9 pm

The Benton is open one Friday night a month. Come browse, borrow and use our computers. Games will be available for those who wish to play.

Leap Year Tea at the Benton, Feb. 29, 2012, 4 pm

Please join us for tea, cookies, company and a book. The Benton will be open from 2 -7 pm.

Valentines and the Community, February 1 - 14

Materials will be available to create valentines for the residents of the Brigham House Assisted Living Facilities. We will also be accepting donations of canned items for the Belmont Food Pantry. All ages are welcome!

The Fruit of Our Labor, Fri., Feb. 3, 7:30 - 9 pm

In conjunction with Belmont World Film, we will show several shorts from the compilation entitled The Fruit of Our Labor. Filmed by native Afghans, these documentaries provide a window into daily life in Afghanistan that goes beyond what we see in the media. Michael Sheridan, who directed this project, will speak. Tickets are free but must be reserved either at the Benton or online at www.MKtix.com/bwf. Space is limited so reserve early.
